Inrax has well thought through security for client software delivered over the net. Firstly the client needs a valid login including the server address, the name of the server, and organisation name, user name, and password. Next, if the customer chooses, the communications can be over a secure sockets layer. Finally, if the customer chooses, only PCs on a predefined list of MAC addresses will gain access. The MAC address of a PC is its unique hardware identifier, and in this case is used to prevent access from unauthorised PCs.
